David Terris, MD, FACS
David J. Terris, MD, FACS, is the Porubsky Distinguished Professor, as well as chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology and surgical director of the Thyroid Center at Georgia Regents University. Dr. Terris attended Cornell University for his undergraduate studies, Duke University for medical school, and completed his residency and fellowship at Stanford Universitywhere he subsequently joined the faculty at and was promoted to associate professor with tenure. In 2002, he was recruited to the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Terris is a pioneer in robotic and minimally invasive thyroid surgery and has a busy clinical practice that is limited to thyroid and parathyroid surgery. He has more than 200 publications, with most devoted to thyroid and parathyroid topics.
