Dimiter I. Dentchev, MD, PhD is Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Drexel University College of Medicine. He is currently the Director of Voice Laboratory at the American Institute of Voice and Ear Research and also conducts 24-hour pH-impedance testing for patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease.Dr. Dentchev is a graduate of the Medical Academy of Sofia, Bulgaria. He has served as Vice-Dean for International Relations at the Medical Academy of Sofia. He was a visiting professor at Thomas Jefferson University and director of a summer course of pathology. Dr. Dentchev is the author of one book and more than 40 publications in the medical literature. His research expertise also includes studies involving locoregional neo-adjuvant chemotherapeutic treatment of breast cancer patients, as well as the first morphological descriptions of AIDS in Bulgaria.
