Nancy E. Hall, PhD, CCC-SLP, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Maine, where she teaches undergraduate courses on clinical observation and the research process, as well as and graduate courses on fluency disorders and counseling in CSD. Dr. Hall conducts research in several areas, including clinical observation, the needs and concerns of families raising children with communication disorders, and the relationship between language and fluency in early language acquisition. She has served as Associate Editor for Fluency for the American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology, Chair of the Fluency and Fluency Disorders Program Committee of the ASHA National Convention, Editor of Perspectives in Fluency and Fluency Disorders, and a member of the ASHA Joint Coordinating Committee on Evidence Based Practice. Dr. Hall was the founding Director of the University of Maine's Center for Undergraduate Research and served in that capacity for 5 years.
