John C. (Jay) Rosenbek is Professor and Chair of the Department of Communicative Disorders, College of Public Health and Health Professions, University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida. He has a courtesy appointment in the Department of Neurology and is a research scientist in the VA Brain Rehabilitation Research Center, as well as a collaborator with the Movement Disorders Center, Department of Neurology, University of Florida. He has practiced for thirty-eight years and continues a busy clinical practice and a modest research effort. He teaches in both the Rehabilitation Science PhD and the Bachelor of Health Science programs, and is on the Steering Committee of the Rehabilitation Science Doctoral program. Awards include: Honors of the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association and the Academy of Neurologic Communication Disorders and Sciences, and The Frank R. Kleffner Career Award. He plans to continue practicing till he gets it right, time permitting.
Harrison N. Jones, Ph.D. has been practicing as a speech-language pathologist for over ten years. He completed his PhD in rehabilitation science at the University of Florida in 2007 and returned to Duke University to join the academic faculty, where he is Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Speech Pathology & Audiology. His clinical and research interests are broadly in the areas of neurogenic speech and swallowing disorders. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and music.
